Site Regulation

Post by Desmeon on Tue May 03, 2016 6:21 pm

Please follow these rules and its entirety throughout the whole forum, and refrain from disobeying simple regulation.

As a forum reminder, please remember to enjoy yourself. This is a place where people should feel welcome and happy to be. Despite the rules, don't feel pressured to put on a facade, to hide who you really are. I am pretty lenient on what people do here, but make sure you don't go overboard with things.
Just be you and have fun! ^-^

1. Disregarding roleplay posts, all other posts should be professional and courteous. You have every right to disagree with your fellow community members and explain your perspective.

However, you are not free to attack, degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle them or the quality of this community. It does not matter what title or power you hold in these forums, you are expected to obey this rule. Doing otherwise will get your account banned temporarily, or permanently if the situation becomes severe enough (this will be left to the discretion of the moderation team).

For example, phrases such as "shut up, noob, idiot," are indicative of problematic posts and should be reported. Suggested alternatives include "I disagree with what you said for the following reasons..." Please remember to stay mature and thoughtful at all times.
---

2. Please do not post inappropriate material, everyone should understand what I mean by this. The policy goes that if you would not feel comfortable viewing it at work, or in front of children or parents, don't post it.
---

3. Please do not spam. The definition of spam is an irrelevant or advertising post. Any post considered spam will be removed.
---

4. Please do not post threads text in all CAPITALS since this is considered to be shouting and is not necessary. *This rule is not as heavily enforced.
---

5. Please refrain from posting images larger than 800x600. This is considerate to members with slow internet speeds, and keeps the forum looking tidy.
---

6. Do not post twice/thrice/etcetera in a row; it's only allowed if the posts are 24 hours apart. And make sure to contain more than three words within a post, as it would be considered spam otherwise.
---

7. Do not continuously spam the forum or chatbox with a repeated question. There is a section devoted solely for questions, as well as Private Messaging an Admin or Mod, thoughtfully.
---

8. Please be considerate in language you use on the forum, some of our members are younger than others. Swearing is not completely banned, just do not swear unnecessarily or aim it at another member. In roleplay, feel free to curse as you'd like. But only in rp.
---

9. No hacking, and illegal activity, such as torrents and illegal downloads, this will not be tolerated, and if appropriate, may be reported to local authority.
---

10. Do not post "Free " threads. Posting pyramid scams (such as free iPods, LCDs etc.) is forbidden. All such posts/signatures will be edited or deleted. Any new users posting scams will be banned permanently; contributing users will either be warned or temporarily banned.

I'm sure these rules are clear, and easy to follow. These are only in place to ensure our community is a fun place to be, and a comfortable atmosphere for all.

What happens if I break a rule ?

Depending on the severity of the infraction, a different course of action may be taken, but the usual practice is as follows :

1st rule break (Minor offence) :

Corrected, A PM may of been sent, no further action taken

For a more serious offence, a warning will be issued, this is a mark against your name letting us know you have broken a rule

2nd rule break.

Another warning

3rd rule break

On your 3rd warning, you will receive a temporary ban, the length of which will depend on the severity of the incident.

On another breach of rules :

After this it will be assumed you will not learn your lesson, so you will receive a permanent ban, meaning you will never be able to visit the forum again.

If you have any questions regarding the rules feel free to PM any member of site staff, who will be able to clear things up for you.

Regarding pictures and perhaps any info coincidentally relating to another outside source/work:

"Copyright Disclaimer, Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for 'fair use' for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use."
