Advancements (Open to All, No Post-Order)

Post by Cyna on Wed May 25, 2016 2:50 pm

~This is about, well, It's better explained in another way, STORY TIME!

"Breaking news, Scientists have just created a way to make fully protected and sustainable underwater cities, later today we will be having an interview with the scientist who created this technology and the first underwater city will be up and running in about two months, we invite anyone who's interested to catch a train, also to be completed by then, and come down a--" The anchorwoman was cut off as Cyna turned off the TV.
"Hmm, an underwater city huh? Now that's gonna' be interesting." She said.

~So ya, story. Fast forward three months and that's where this RP begins, I plan to introduce a bunch of cool sea creatures and stuff in this. Enjoy! (PS. I just used Cyna as an example, she is not a "main" character for the RP or something, it's not about her.)

Post by Desmeon on Thu May 26, 2016 3:14 pm

Desmeon was lazing about her days in Grieva. She was always gambling with the Auli she won or that she stole. She had nothing important to do at the moment since she had finished the first set of checking on some of the Mini-Leaders. The casino she usually visited had a hotel attached, so she spent her time in her room sometimes. Today was one of those days. Her curtains were shut, her cheap T.V was on, and her room a total mess.

Bottles of liquor were everywhere, cigarettes that weren't hers was scattered throughout the room, trash littered the floor, and so on. Even her gasmask was somewhere in there, but she didn't know where. But don't assume someone else was in her room, no one ever was. The cigs were just an accident...She stole them from someone and when she came back to her room late in the morning, she tripped, fell and she supposed that is why they were all on the floor. Somehow she managed to get into her bed, but her head throbbed too much for her to remember. She must have drank tons and gambled like crazy as Auli lay everywhere as well. What a night.

Desmeon slowly turned on her side to face the T.V, her head hurt a lot, with her vision still blurry. She could hear the commercials going on and she could tell it was all propaganda. Those stupid little messages the government hid in everything. Oh she sure wished she could shut them up, but that'll have to wait for another day. She needed her back pack now, she needed that medicinal drug. It usually helped with migraines. Scanning her room, Desme sighed when she spotted the fuzzy image of it all the way across the room. Clutching her head, she slid out of bed, onto the floor, and crawled to where it was. It was up against the wall where the window was. She reached for it when she was close enough, dug through her pack, and found exactly what she needed. She gulped two down instantly, then sat up against the wall.

She should be getting ready to leave soon. Why? She couldn't quite remember, but she knew she had to. Though all she could recall was the opening of...something. It had to do with the ocean...It seemed really important to her for some reason, yet she was an idiot for not remembering what the hell it was. But oh well, perhaps she'd find out eventually.
Rubbing her eyes, Desmeon stood up with unsteadiness. She had to clean up a little before she left, that's for sure. She couldn't leave a single thing behind. Especially her mask. So time to clean up this mess of a room then head on out to wherever.

(CYNA'S PERSPECTIVE)
I brought my bags out of the forest and walked back to take care of Scarlet, she immediately hopped on my shoulder.
"I'm sorry but you can't come, dragons may be a protected species but there are a lot of people who want one for a trophy." I said, setting her down, "Alright, hold down the fort for me, I should be back within a week or two."
Scarlet flew up to her lookout post on top of my house and watched me go off, I paused for a minute as I was about to grab my bags and looked back at her.
"Okay, you can come, I think we can figure something out." I said, Scarlet raised her head and glided down and landed on my shoulder and let out an excited cry, I grabbed my bags and proceeded to the line for the sea train. Once I got through to security I placed my bag on the scanner and began to go through the gate when a security guard stopped me.
"Hold on there." He said, "Is that as big as that dragon's going to get?"
"Yes." I replied.
"Does he breath fire?"
"No, she breathes metal."
"Do you have a licence for owning a dragon?"
I pulled out my wallet and showed him my hunting and dragon ownership licenses
"Alright, carry on but keep in mind that as of now that hunting license is invalid in the city."
I walked through the gate with Scarlet and the metal detector went off.
"Oh, sorry that's my dragon." I said, Scarlet flew over it and was checked out by the security guard. One of them pulled out my cryo-bow from my bag, "Hey! What are you doing?"
"I'm sorry ma'am but ice weaponry is not permitted within the city." The guard replied.
"Wow, lots of restrictions for this huh, no fire, no ice, what's next, no electronics?" I said sarcastically.
"Only in large items ma'am." The security guard said smiling. He gave me my laptop and I proceeded onto the train.

"No." Starfire said.
"Please?" Sakari begged.
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because you have school."
"B-but... School, um..." Is scary? Is weird? Has a possible murderer among the students? No...she hasn't done anything just yet, Sakari. "S-school can wait..."
"No, Sakari." Starfire said sternly. "You need to go to school. Look, your friends are already waiting for you."
"Eh?" Sakari turned her head to look outside. Two girls were waiting. Sakura and Kokura. Sakari's heart dropped. 'Friends'? I think you mean 'friend'.
"Go to school," Starfire repeated. "Now."
"Okay..." Sakari sighed. She walked out the door and up to her friends. "Sorry to keep you waiting..."
"It's okay!" Kokura said.
Sakura shot a glare at Sakari that Kokura didn't see. Sighing, Sakari went along with the energetic, brown-haired Kokura and the rage-filled, possible-murderer, possible-tsundere, possible-yandere Sakura.

Starfire studied the dark-haired girl from afar as Sakari walked toward them. She really does look like me...
"Now that she's off to school..." Starfire turned around, coming face-to-face with a Firebird. "Uwaah!"
Recognizing the Firebird, Starfire growled under her breath. "Ashi! You scared me! Don't do that again!"
Ashi gave what looked like a smirk.
"Come on," Starfire muttered. "Let's go."

Re: Advancements (Open to All, No Post-Order)

Post by Desmeon on Sun May 29, 2016 3:34 am

After cleaning up the room, Desmeon had avoided the front desk entirely and snuck out the fire exit door. Soon she was on her way through the city, but of course, she had to use the alleyways. She hated not being to roam the main roads freely, but whatever. Going through the alleys wasn't so bad. She'd get the chance to spray paint walls, or speak out loud to herself.
Anyway, Desme did exactly those two things. For at least thirty minutes, before she finally reached the city port. She was at the end of an alley when she finally realized what she had plans for. It did, in fact, had to do with the ocean. It was something people from all over Aurlia had been anticipating; an underwater city!
Did the booze from last night really make her forget such an important event? Placing a hand on her head, she shook her head. The things she does these days...
Blinking her thoughts away, Desmeon crouched over by the nearest wall, and poked her head over the edge. She checked both ways and noticed far in the distance to the right, was an enormous group of people. She could only see just a part of the group, so there was most likely more out of her field of view. There was an open train station situated just before the beach and the actual port. Rails could be seen leading from it, heading into the ocean water. There also seemed to be some kind of wall surrounding the railings that too, lead into the water. People were all over the station, waving their hands frantically in the air while they held something that looked like a piece of paper.
Welp, by the looks of it, it was most likely one of the ways into an underwater city. There was no say how far the train would travel under the water, or even where it would go. It seemed really risky and unsafe. Especially for her. The train station may have looked regular but who knew what kind of security they'd have on the other side or in the underwater city.
Oh how Desmeon really wanted to go. But then she'd have to stash away everything on her, which wasn't a great idea. Not when she was in Grieva. This place was notorious for a lot of things, and she knew this place was high on law & order. Though she had to figure something out...

I felt the train come to a halt, I looked up and closed my laptop because I figured we were there, I tried to look out the window to see what was going on but I could only see a small glimmer of light through the water on the ocean floor but this only built up anticipation for what was to come, I nudged Scarlet who was sleeping on the shelf above me, she raised her head and hopped down and looked through the window, she seemed confused that she couldn't see anything, I was kind of too, ocean water is supposed to be dark at this depth but it shouldn't be this murky, I shrugged my shoulders and began to exit the train.
Once I was out I was greeted with the most spectacular sight I'd seen in years! It was like a city made of earth ships but they were made of coral, not only that but it was so much more bright then I had thought, every street, rooftop and window was lit and it was almost like my house on a sunny day. I immediately began going off to look around and noticed the smallest bit of resistance as I walked, and then I saw that there were thousands of fish swimming around, yet I could still breath, now I knew why the train had an airlock. I went over towards one of the edges of the city and tried pressing the wall, my hand immediately went through the wall. wow I thought how did they manage to get the surface tension to work that way?
"Cyna?" I was broken out of my thought when I heard the voice, I turned around, "Cyna! It is you!"
"Wait, Saitem?" I asked, "It's great to see you! What are you doing here?"
"Same thing as you." Saitem replied, "Checking out this amazing city." Scarlet flew over and landed on Saitem's shoulder, "Yes, it's nice to see you too Scarlet."
"So, do you have any plans for where to stay?" I asked.
"As a matter of fact, I do not." Saitem replied.
"Well I'm supposed to stay in this Inn I read about."
"How much?"
"I only had to pay about 77 Auli."
"Hmm, maybe I'll stay there, anyway see you later."
"Later."
Scarlet flew back too me and we began to explore the city.

Re: Advancements (Open to All, No Post-Order)

Post by Desmeon on Sun Jun 05, 2016 10:10 pm

Shifting her body back inside the safety of the shady alley, Desmeon leaned completely against the wall, and pondered. She couldn't possibly take off her gas-mask, but she couldn't keep it on either if she wanted to go. The security forces were most likely notified of her existence by the UNA already and the fact that the Eviternity Leader wore a gas-mask. But lucky for her, the casino's she ventured in, didn't care who was in there; they only cared for the money. However, she was overly alert of almost everything anyway, so she'd know when the UNA would try and take her down.
It was funny actually, it was as if she and the UNA had a connection most of the time. They always tried to find her with their hidden, "top secret" forces, all the while she too, did that to them. Desmeon recalled this one time when security thought her as a suspicious person, so they tracked her for a while as she shopped at a shopping district in Criminon. Little did they know, she too had been keeping eyes on them with her shabby but trusty bunch of Evi adherents. The guards eventually thought to check up on her as she stopped in the washroom for a 'little too long.' Her companions notified her right as the guards made their way to her, so she set up a surprise for them. No one else was in the washroom that time, allowing her to use everything she stole or bought to pull the most idiotic prank. It only took a minute for her to get her creation going and for her to hide in a vent. When the guards knocked on the door, then swung it open with their guns in the air, the finely set wiring to the door that lead to a contraption instantaneously shot mushy tomatoes at them. It wasn't only a couple of 'matoes, but at least a hundred. It kept firing until there was no more, and at the end of it all, the guards were covered in tomato paste. They had just stood there shocked, since the shots were fired with the quickest of speed, leaving little time for anyone to realize what did happen. Paste was splattered all over the small washroom and beyond the door, but none had gotten into the vent. Desmeon had stifled her laughter as much as possible, otherwise she'd be in the deepest of trouble. When the guards finally regained mobility, they cursed to their hearts content, and eventually called in a clean up crew. That was the end of that, so she had to book it before anything else occurred.
After revisiting that memory, Desmeon blinked wildly as if she had been dreaming. Glancing around her, nothing changed, but she did remember she had something important to do. Screw buying or paying for a ticket and hiding her gear, she was going to sneak onto the train. Maybe hijack it...Nah, too much effort. The best course of action was waiting until night, getting onto a standby train, hiding in it, then wait 'till morning for it to operate. But then again, that would be a pain to wait so long. She wanted to go, to what she called Atlantis, now! Though after a couple seconds, a thought popped into her head. How well would a gas-mask work under water?

Re: Advancements (Open to All, No Post-Order)

Post by Artemis on Mon Jun 06, 2016 4:29 pm

Artemis walked through the crowded city streets casually, well sort of. She took up a new appearance- one where she couldn't be identified, not even by the Avenoir members. She wasn't known by any civilians in the capital, but her costume was taken as a security caution. Artemis now took the appearance of a young boy sloppy dressed with red hair mostly hidden in a cap, trying to find his way to through the photography career, Wally Mariter. It was different from her other costumes. Most of them were just country and peasant like or a rich person, even sometimes she posed as a solider.

The jumbo tron turned one with a loud blare. The News. She rolled her eyes in disgust of the sudden appearance and continued walking on until she heard the anchorwoman speaking of this underwater city being opened to the public. So that must be where they're heading. A slight smirk grew onto her lips. Artemis a hand up to her right ear and pressed a  small button. A small screen appeared in front of her eye with a buffering screen. Moments later her target, a man clad in a black suit and tie, appeared on a holographic screen in front of her eye. All information known about the man came up, except for the coordinates of his known current or future location. She was running on a feeling in her gut, and hopefully it was right. She turned off the screen and looked down at her companion, Starly. He stood there looking up at her with bright, beady, puppy eyes She kneeled down next to him and rubbed his cheek. Starly leaned into her hand and licked her hand, seeing her frustration. "This is why I hate assignments with no coordinates." She muttered with a smile while moving to play with his ears. She stayed by his side and continued to listen to the Jumbo tron until the news flash of the Underwater city ended. Artemis looked around the streets in search for a map or at least a stand with tourist books. The urge to bring up a map on her holographic piece was being held back, just barely though. Artemis never had much patience when it came to finding out where the target was. She had to maintain her costume though. When she first pulled up the screen it was hidden since she was looking up, but if she pulled it up she'd be walking through the streets with it visible to every one, blowing her cover.

She coughed slightly in attempt of adjusting her voice and walked up to a man standing on the curb. "Excuse me sir, where is the nearest train station?" She questioned, making her voice sound more like a males. He starred at her for a bit and held out his hand. Of course this guy is a dealer. She starred at him with a clenched fist. Well he does know and I need to get there soon. Letting out a groan she pulled out two gold coins and plotted them in his hand. He brought them to his face and inspected them before giving her directions. Without sparring a thanks she was off. Starly ran behind her with his tongue hanging out the side as they ran through the crowd. She had to make it before it become so crowded that the next available train wouldn't be until tomorrow. Being short she couldn't tell the distance very well, but the man even gave her a subway short cut which made everything easier as she slipped down the stairs and joined the few people waiting for the subway train. Starly plopped down on her feet exhausted. Artemis stood still and let him rest on her feet, until the subway train arrived to take her to the train station.

(I have no idea but this makes the cut :DD)

Re: Advancements (Open to All, No Post-Order)

Post by Cyna on Wed Oct 05, 2016 9:02 pm

Saitem wandered about the city looking for the inn Cyna had mentioned, he had remembered that she didn't say the actual location of the inn Dangit! he thought, I should have asked but I got too carried away with the city. Suddenly he heard a strange noise. Being a mercenary, his instincts kicked in and he immediately pressed himself against a wall, it felt rough, a lot like coral which was probably what they made them out of. He snuck along the wall towards where he thought the sound was coming from. He eventually made it to one of the walls to the city and noticed a tunnel, he looked down to see three men operating some form of machinery that was expanding the bubble surrounding the city.
"So that's how they do it!" He whispered to himself, he spotted one of the workers turn around and he immediately ducked around the corner despite not being a criminal and no one even knowing him here.
"Ahh!" He heard from the tunnel, What's wrong? he thought, I haven't even done anything! He ducked around the corner again and saw a shadowy figure creep behind the second worker and stab him, the third one came after it immediately with a wrench and it countered immediately killing him, Saitem's first instinct was to run but he was curious what exactly was going to happen. The machinery was still running, the figure got into it, Saitem creeped closer for a better look, the creature seemed to be hotwiring it digitally! He stared at the device, it was unlike anything he had seen before! Just who is this guy? he thought, then he realized it wasn't even a human! It had a long tail and tall ears coming out of its head, the machine started making a different sound, the creature crept over to a hole I didn't even notice and the hole vanished immediately, suddenly the water wall started going in reverse, back out to the main bubble, Saitem just ran and just barely escaped, if he were to get caught by that he would have most certainly died of the pressure, he noticed a damp, paper note on the floor. It said "If you try to expand this one more time, we will take immediate action on your nation." the rest was in another language he didn't recognize. Saitem's eyes widened with fear and curiosity.
"This can't just be a prank by the rebels because I don't know of any half cat human thing." He said to himself. He wondered whether he should report it or investigate it himself, regardless of what he did, he needed to take immediate action.

Re: Advancements (Open to All, No Post-Order)

Post by Desmeon on Sat Oct 22, 2016 11:09 pm

Desmeon smirked at her own thought. It wasn't the worst of idea's she had come up with. Unlike regular gas-masks, hers was advanced. It was installed with the latest of technology, which placed it above any other respirator. It was her prized possession in this sense; she cherished the thing as if it were her br...
Anywho, she was feeling impatient. She had to get going now anyway, the train was soon to leave. She made the decision to take her belongings along with her for a ride on the side of the train. It would be hectic, though it was possible. She luckily held all the necessities to latch on and stay on.
Des left the safety of the alley and cautiously made her way over to the station, avoiding any humans. Soon enough, she had snuck into the station, squeezing through crevices that none had noticed before her. She found herself in a small, dimly lit room beneath the train platform, amongst webs, dust, and mechanics. The place seemed to have been abandoned despite it being underneath a busy station. There were wooden and steel structures which probably held up part of the station platform. Gears and mech unknown to her were also present but unused. After glancing to her left and right, she shifted her gaze upwards. Right above her, she could see the train's underside.
It was perfect for her to hook on to. Though, she couldn't reach it. Sighing with annoyance, Desmeon looked around the room for anything that may aid her. She searched frantically since the train gave hints of its departure. Luckily for her, she managed to find two cinder blocks. They were heavy, but she was able to drag them to her desired spot. Hurriedly, she heaved one block atop the other and hopped on top. She grabbed her latching device from her pack and reached up, hooking it to the train then herself. Before pulling herself onto the underside of the train, Desmeon glanced around the desolate room. She'd remember to come back here.
Now completely attached to the underside, Des felt slight fright of falling off during the ride or getting scratched up by debris. Though she shouldn't worry, panicking may only make her thoughts come true. Holding tightly to the rods on either side of her, she felt herself tense as the train gave its final signal of departure. The whole train began to move little by little, then increased its speed. Des couldn't help but feel even more terrified; she lay facing up at the train's underside, so she couldn't see what was occurring under her. Turning her head to look at her side, she could only make out part of the city, it's piers, and the ocean blue. But the ocean was what she could see most, which meant that they would submerge any second.
Desme felt a bit nauseous within her gas mask. And that was odd. Things like that never-- Water. She could feel the cold ocean water pierce her skin. Oh great Aeos...She was gonna die, wasn't she? This was a bad idea from the beginning.
Seconds later, her whole body was engulfed in ocean waters. She was internally screaming at this point. She held her breath for no reason other than her fears. But really, she was fine despite how cold she felt. No water dared enter her mask, and she could breathe perfectly, almost...

Saitem stared at the paper with a mixture of fear and curiosity. These, things may be able to outdo the best assassins in Aurlia and they simply vanished into a hole below the water, even the hole vanished! He contemplated who he should go to, should I go to the authorities? Cyna? then a thought crossed his mind, should I investigate further I smirk began to travel across his face, maybe he could see just what they're up against, but he'd need help, Cyna couldn't she didn't have her bow. Suddenly he heard footsteps, he put the note back where he'd found it and hid behind a building, more of the workers came up to the wall with a civilian. He tried to listen in.
"Is this where you heard it?" he heard one of the workers ask
"Yes, I heard a yell from here." The civilian said, one of the workers picked up the note.
"You're free to go." He said, his eyes full of worry.
"Is it another one?" another of the workers asked.
"Yes"
"Now do you think we should report it?"
"No!" The worker with the note said, "It took too much resources, time and effort for us to have to close down the city or even stop expansion, we will continue, these people won't have the guts to attack all of Aurlia at once, not even Eviternity would do that."
"If you say so boss."
Saitem watched as they all dispersed, once he was sure they were gone he went back into the open and put his hand to his head as if he couldn't believe what he'd just heard.
"Oh man." He said to himself, he ran off to go find Cyna only to remember that she hadn't told him the name of the inn she was staying in, he decided he was going to search every inn until he found the one, no matter how long it took.
