Zer0, The Deadly Number

Post by Zero on Sat May 14, 2016 1:53 am

Personal

Full Name: Maxus Ethfeld.
Alias: Zero, Max.
Date of Birth/Age: Arehio, 1st, 1876. His current age is 24.
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: Straight.
Personality: Max isn't a very talkitive person. In fact, he tries to avoid conversation whenever possible. He's very private and straight up refuses to reveal 'parts' of himself to others. He doesn't like other people. It's a simple as that. Those who see him think he's plotting to kill them, those who have heard of him think he's a stuck-up hardass, those who know him.. Well, they don't. Not completely anyway. He never gives anyone his real name. Instead he goes by the name Zero; a nickname he was given due to his apparent namelessness. Of course, like any human being, Max can smile. Although it's so rare he's practically never done it, he deeply respects those who can lighten his mood. He may be a hardass but deep down he's got a sense of humor. As you could probably imagine, Max is extremely hard to impress and, even if he is impressed, he'd never say so. That's why many people who try and talk to Max end up lowering their self esteem in the process. He never means bad by it, he just doesn't care enough to show any sort of enthusiasm. Although it may seem like Max hates everything, there is one thing he does enjoy; shooting. It's a go-to solution for all his problems. A clean shot never fails to lighten the mood for him. It's a way for him to vent his frustration, stress, depression or anger. A weird way but a way nonetheless.
Fears:

  • The United Nations of Aurlia; Like any wanted man, Max fears those who want him.

  • For his family to be found, identified and killed. Their lives are at stake and he knows it. Despite his extended efforts to hide them, he can't help but let his worst fear control him.

Appearance

Height: 5'9.
Weight: 153 lbs.
Eye Color: Light steel.
Born Appearance/Looks: Lean but not thin. He's not a giant or intimidating person in any way, shape or form. Not weak but not ripped either. An average fit and healthy person, to say the least. He has messy brown hair. Again, nothing special. However, on the back of his left hand is a brand tattooed onto his skin. The brand is a simple X; the mark of death. A mark given to those awaiting execution.
---

Items/Gear

A simple bowie knife to use in emergencies.
Clothing/Armor: Max wears a dark, navy blue jacket, as seen above. Underneath he wears dark grey, lightweight tactical armor; military issued and recovered by Max himself on a mission to infiltrate a UNA camp. The armor is designed to allow him to be as agile as he would be without it, but sustains the ability to resist a fair amount of directs hits from lower calibers. He also wears a custom made, HUD helmet. He never takes this off around people, thus, keeping his identity a secret.

History: As a young boy, Max grew up in a small village in the northernmost part of Ceyin, with barely enough money to live off of. It was normal for him. In fact, so normal, he genuinely believed everyone lived like he did. Although times were harsh, he was as gullible as ever, as happy as he could possibly be. After all, he didn't know any better. His father worked day and night, desperately trying to keep his family afloat. His mother was his only company. One day, his father came back home early. When asked why, his father responded, saying he had tragically lost his job. Of course, he wasted no time trying to get a new job, however, to no avail. No one would allow him a job without an education, thus he was forced to enter the blackmarketing business. He kept it a secret, instead claiming he had found someone willing to employ him. Unfortunately, with shady business comes a price to pay. Max's father had sold government property unknowingly during his career at one point, causing him to become subject to punishment once found. Apparently this government property had been top-secret, meaning any witnesses had to be exterminated. When they were tracked down, Max and his mother were still oblivious to the fact his father had been involved in blackmarketing. When it was explained, both Max and his mother were furious at the fact that his father had lied. They were all marked for death and condemned. Max, being a sneaky as he was, managed to break free and escape with his mother. Now they were left without a home in the icy wilderness of Ceyin. They had no choice but to leave the country. With that, they made way to Solus. Once they reached Solus, they made home in another small village in one of the lesser populated areas. They faked their names and became new people. They had no choice. As Max grew up he felt more and more hatred towards the United Nations and felt more and more afraid that his mother and him would be found. After his mother fell feeble and was unable to work, he left and joined the Eviternity faction while also becoming a part time mercenary. This is why his real name remains a secret to those he doesn't trust.

Roleplay Sample: Max stared gloomily out the window, his cheek pressed up boredly against the cold, damp glass, watching the snowy trees dart past as the train raced along the track. He hated trains.. They never failed to make him feel like he was going to hurl. Then again.. he hated everything. He tightened his jaw when the train hit a sudden bump, his stomach twisting awkwardly. But it was the only way across the country at this moment in time. Due to the snow storms, nearly all airways were either closed or heavily delayed. Now everyone was piling onto trains, hoping to bypass the chaos, but instead causing even more. Max had managed to snag one of the only empty seats and was successfully holding point. No one wanted to sit next to someone who looked so sickly. The train came to a gradual stop, halting at it's next designated train station. Huffing in relief, he sank back into his seat. An ocean of civilians swarmed through the train doors and piled into the walkways, squeezing into any seat they possibly could. An elderly woman shambled around aimlessly, unable to find an open seat. Graciously, Max removed his cloak from the seat next to him and motioned her over. He supposed there was times where it payed to do good. The woman smiled and shuffled over, slowly sitting down in the seat and placing her handbag in her lap. He nodded and returned his attention to the world outside, watching as the station faded in the distance.

Max must have passed out because the next thing he knew, they were nearing another stop. He squinted, trying to make out the sign. 'Decastrad'. He had finally made it to the capital of Oranis. Removing his face from the glass, he turned his head to look at where the elderly lady had sat. There she was, slumped over awkwardly, her body completely still. He rubbed his weary eyes and put a hand on her shoulder. "Miss?" No response. Not even a flinch. "Miss?" Silent gurgling.. His stomach dropped into a pit of realization, horror gripping him and refusing to let go. Nudging turned into violent shaking as he called out to all who could hear. "Call the paramedics!"

Max watched on in vigil as the emergency response team hurried the woman's pale, lifeless body off the train on a wheeled bed. It was too late. She was already dead. He couldn't help but feel a pang of sorrow as they ran out of view, his eyes narrowed and eyes soft. Apparently she had contracted a fatal disease that acted like a tumor and had already been dying. Now the whole train was being decontaminated and people were being forced through a makeshift sterilization room. This would take a while..

Can I get options on what ranks I can be? And whether I need to add a roleplay example or not..

I prefer you have a roleplay sample.

For ranks, you may have what ever rank you could think of. Except Leader and Co-Leader, of course. Just use common sense, be considerate.
